The two leaders discussed issues of national importance, besides the pace of rehabilitation in the quake-hit areas.
The Prime Minister apprised the President of the recently concluded commonwealth summit in Malta and said it was after six years that Pakistan was invited to attend the summit. He said all heads of states and government appreciated the developments taking place in Pakistan in the field of political and economic reforms.
The Premier briefed President Musharraf about his bilateral meetings with various world leaders, including British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the president of Nigeria. He said the meetings were useful and beneficial.
Aziz said he also apprised the world leaders of Pakistan's role in combating terrorism.
On the occasion President Musharraf expressed complete satisfaction about the ongoing relief and rehabilitation operation and government's efforts on national and international front.
The two leaders vowed to speed up rehabilitation and reconstruction process in the earthquake-hit areas of Azad Kashmir and Hazara division of NWFP.
